At the Sensor+Test 2018 in Nuremberg (June 26 to 28), Elmos will present solutions for sensor signal evaluation, ultrasonic level / flow / distance measurement, ICs for optical smoke detectors and other components for PIR and thermopile Applications. You will find the Elmos stand in hall 1, booth 1-422.
The Elmos Signal Processors (SSPs) (E520.42, E520.45, E703.11, E703.21) are suitable for a variety of automotive and industrial applications, in particular for the evaluation of pressure sensors, torque, resistance sensor bridges, MEMS or piezo sensors. The ICs are characterized by a simple system calibration and a one-wire connection. They also have a comprehensive, integrated self-test and high protection against voltage surges in automotive applications. For functional safety applications, a sensor signal evaluation IC developed according to ISO26262 is available (E520.47).
Elmos also has the new IC E703.15 in its portfolio for level / flow / distance measurement based on ultrasound. The IC is suitable, for example, for flow measurement in pipes as well as for level and concentration measurement in urea tanks (AdBlue®). The IC forms a single-chip flowmeter solution with integrated microcontroller and minimal external circuitry.
With the ICs E524.08 and E524.09 Elmos presents another ultrasonic IC family for the ultrasonic parking assistance systems in the vehicle. Furthermore, these ICs can be used for general distance measurements in industrial applications (industrial robots, silo level detection, etc.). During the development of these ICs special focus was placed on an optimal range detection. Thus, the revised signal path currently allows distance measurements between 10cm to 600cm. With optimized system hardware and good environmental conditions, even longer distances are possible.
In continuation of the successful series of optical smoke detector controller modules (E520.32, E520.30), Elmos presents the E520.24, an IC for double LED smoke chambers (blue / red). The device integrates an 8-bit microcontroller with 4 or 8kB OTP program memory (with 64-bit code protection key) and 32 bytes of EEPROM for flexible application programming, a high sensitive photocurrent amplifier, 2 high current drivers for the smoke chamber LEDs and a flexible programmable controller communication interface. Additional inputs for thermistor evaluation (NTC) as well as configurable digital GPIOs extend the measurement and control functions of the device.
