Elmos will be presenting product highlights for the Asian market at electronica China in Shanghai. The booth will feature demonstrators and ICs for the following applications: BLDC motor drivers, semiconductors for efficient vehicle rear lights, and a market-leading solution for vehicle proximity and gesture recognition. These and other semiconductors and sensors will be shown at booth E4.4216. The fair will take place from 20 to 22 March 2019.
Overview of the product highlights:
Elmos presents the E523.42, a highly integrated motor controller for 12V automotive applications. The IC combines a 32-bit ARM® Cortex® M0 microcontroller and a high-voltage analog motor driver in a small QFN5*5 package. The semiconductor can drive three-phase BLDC motors, a three-phase stepper motor, or up to two conventional DC motors. Possible applications include: automatic grille shutters, water valves or small and medium fans, for example in car seats.
With the E522.90/91/92/93 ICs, Elmos is presenting a product family of LED controllers for use in automotive rear lighting. The E522.9x family has an output current of 14mA to 55mA per channel. Up to 165mA/IC is possible in parallel operation. Patented power management ensures a constant lighting intensity of the LEDs even under difficult thermal conditions. A variable proportion of the incurred power loss is shifted to external shunts for this purpose, enabling even and effective heat distribution without hot spots on the PCB. Here the unique dual concept avoids an additional drop via the linear controller stage.
The ICs E909.21 (controller) and E909.22 (conditioner), are a solution for optical proximity and gesture recognition in the vehicle. The semiconductors were especially designed for use in larger automotive displays. The combination gives the user a perfectly coordinated solution for precise interaction with the graphic user interface (GUI) of the multi media unit. The following actions are detected: Approach, Swipe, Air Slider™, Magnification, and more. The object recognition and motion evaluation function in real time on the basis of a functional and cost-optimized infrared technology (HALIOS®). Elmos is a pioneer in gesture recognition in the vehicle and the No. 1 in the world for this application. One reason for this is the best ambient light immunity available on the market and the automatic system calibration of the HALIOS® principle. In addition, many features have been integrated to simplify system design and sensor design, making the devices a plug-and-play solution tailored to the application. The E909.21 is used by well-known OEMs in various vehicle models in series.
We are looking forward to your visit!
