At its meeting yesterday, the Supervisory Board of Elmos Semiconductor AG (FSE: ELG) appointed Prof. Dr. Günter Zimmer to the position of Honorary Chairman for life. Prof. Dr. Zimmer is one of the founders of Elmos and has significantly shaped the company for more than 30 years. He was involved in all key decisions that set the course for the company, enabling its present success.
Upon his own request, he has now handed over the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board to Dr. Klaus Weyer, who is also an Elmos co-founder. Dr. Weyer formerly served as the Chairman of the Management Board and had been acting to date as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board. In addition to being appointed Honorary Chairman, Prof. Dr. Zimmer is now Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board with immediate effect. The Supervisory Board voted unanimously on both men.
