Elmos has trained the nation's best microtechnologist in 2018. The former apprentice Nicole Obermanns has now received this award from the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Berlin. Apprentices from Elmos have been honored several times as the best in the country, but for the first time in the nearly 35-year existence of the Elmos, a trainee has received the best federal award. At the same time, she was also honored by the NRW-IHKs as the country's best microtechnologist.
The award was presented as part of a ceremony moderated by Barbara Schöneberger. The speech was given by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who in his speech emphasized the importance of good education for Germany as a business location.
"Nicole has done an outstanding job. We are proud of their performance. In addition, the award also proves the performance of the training at Elmos. Therefore I would like to thank the trainers. We will continue to uphold the standard of teaching for all apprenticeships", says Guido Meyer, Chief Production Officer of Elmos Semiconductor AG.
Obermanns is working as a technical employee after having successfully completed her training in the test area (backend) of Elmos.
Every year more than 300,000 trainees take their final exam before an industry and commerce chamber. From these graduates, the federal best or best is determined for each IHK training occupation. The decisive factor is the overall grade achieved.
