Elmos Semiconductor AG will show a variety of new products at the electronica India (September 14–16, 2017). The spotlight is e.g. on ultrasound parking assistance systems, BLDC motor drivers and automotive LED rear light ICs. The electronica India takes place in New Delhi, Pragati Maidan – you will find the Elmos solutions at the booth of our distributors Swingtel (hall 11, booth 1424) or Millennium (hall 12A, booth 2101).
With the E524.08 and E524.09 ICs, Elmos is presenting a new ultrasound IC family for ultrasound parking assistance systems in the vehicle. The revised signaling path currently supports distance measurements between 10cm and 600cm. Even larger distances are possible with optimized system hardware and under favorable ambient conditions. Additional functions such as STC (sensitivity time control), ATG (automatic threshold generation), NFTG (near-field threshold generation) and the FTC algorithm support further adaptation and optimization for the desired customer application. The new EPD (echo peak detection) considerably improves the accuracy of the distance measurement compared to older systems. The ICs qualified according to AECQ-100 are already in series production.
With the E523.52 IC, Elmos is presenting a fully integrated motor controller for brushless DC (BLDC) motors for 48V electrical system. The E532.52 can be operated with a supply voltage of up to 72V. It integrates a powerful 16-bit microcontroller with special motor controller hardware support. The IC controls 3 NMOS half bridges for motor powers up to approx. 1000 W. The integrated DC/DC buck converter is designed for voltages of 11V/100mA for gate drivers and other loads. Furthermore, this chip also features various monitoring and diagnostics functions for the MosFets.
With the E522.8x component family, Elmos is presenting a powerful product family designed to be used as LED controllers for vehicle rear lights, rear fog lamp, daytime running light and third brake lamp with a worldwide leading EMC immunity. These ICs dispose of a high level of diagnostics features and provide – at the same time – a backward compatibility to existing solutions. Furthermore the E522.80 family offers new ways to solve thermal problems with a minimum of space. The E522.80 family has recommended current ranges per channel of 20mA to 151mA, up to 450mA/IC in parallel operation. Due to a local network single strings can be combined to connected clusters without additional effort.
