Elmos Semiconductor AG, a leading developer and manufacturer of semiconductors and sensors, has been chosen for inclusion on Avnet Silica’s dedicated automotive line card. Elmos was selected due its proven track record and specialist application know-how in the automotive area. The aim of this cooperative effort by the two companies is to better serve the European automotive market.
Elmos’ product range spans the breadth of automotive applications: from the 48V-BLDC motor control series, to network, sensor, and power-supply semiconductors, and LED solutions.
Since the collaboration began in 2014, Avnet Silica and Elmos have successfully developed a strong customer base, both with regard to acquiring new projects and realizing design-ins, with Avnet Silica being the leading distributor for Elmos when it comes to demand creation. This focus will offer customers the benefit of Elmos’ significant experience of mixed-signal ICs, combined with technical support for product implementation by Avnet Silica. Both companies will service a range of customers, from midsize to large enterprises in the automotive industry, with a range of already proven use cases.
